I am a huge believer in equality and when I saw this picture, I just thought  it really made such a true and simple point. People are people no matter what and this picture truly does show this so well. I hope that when people see this it really makes them think because in all honesty hate takes a lot more energy that love does, and that's something that i think is important for everyone to realize.

Lana Del rey

Ok so this is a song from my new favourite singer, her name is Lana Del Rey and in my opinion she is absolutely brilliant. This song is called "Blue Jeans" and it is only one of the songs on her new album "Born to Die". I think her album is well worth the listen because she really is an amazing singer and individual. Valentine's Day

So today is Valentine's Day the most apparent loving days of the year. I this year is the only one of my three best friends that doesn't have a boyfirend, and for some reason I'm not that upset about. I have never been a huge celebrater of Valentine's Day, well not as a teenager anyway. I rememeber when I was a child and it used to be so much fun. You would make a Valentine for all of the kids in your class and then of course one for your teacher, and you would put the cards into a paperbag that had been decorated with lace, hearts, glitter and red, pink and white crayons. It was fun and it the day used to mean chocolate and a party in class all day long. But now we're in high school and the meaning is completely different, people get stuff from their boyfriends and their best friends. You are no longer required to them to everyone, just the poepel you like. that's where the loneliness factor begins to come into play. People begin to wallow in self pity on this day more than any other day of the year. And that is what makes me angry because this day shouldn't be the only day of the year where you recieve some acknowledgment and, love from people in your life. Thats what I think some people seem to forget. In my opinion this holiday is meant to show people that you are thinking about them more than usual and especially for peopel who are married and busy, and don't get to see their significant others everyday for eight hours a day. So for all those people who are wallowing in their own self pity and are openly neagtive about Valentine's Day. Just stop because, your time will come and until then just enjoy spending time with the people you do love.

Celebrities that Die Young and What Happens After

So on Saturday night when i got home from babysitting, I came home to hear the news that Whitney Houston had passed away. When I heard this news I was actually in shock, because just a wek before i had read an article about a movie she had just finished filming. This was in people's opinion her comeback to stardom. I think this hits home for me because I grew up listening to Whitney with my mom, we used to belt the "The Bodyguard" soundtrack in the car all the time. But something that one of my frineds said today really struck a chord wiht me. She said "People are only really care about her now, because she is dead and it doesn't matter how talented she might have been. She will be forevevr known as a talented singer who died suddenly and that's all." This really did in a strange and blunt way, make sense. This happenes with all celebrities and Whitney is no exception, any celebrity that dies before their time is put into a special group of stars who died young like Marilyn Monroe, Amy Winehouse, Britney Murphy, Heath Ledger, Kurt Kobain, Micheal Jackson, etc. These people will go down in infamy and not for what they might have done wrong in the past but for how they died and the age that it happened. Not to say that this is a bad thing its just funny, to think that people that might have thought of Micheal Jackson as a alledged child molester will now think of him as "King of Pop". As for Whitney she had an incredibly sucessful career until she became addicted to crack cocaine. So I think that something that must be remebered is that although it is sad that they died young, the bad things that they have done can't be erased. With doing this you let them continue to be nothing more than human and I think that's something to be respected. Rest In Peace Whitney you will truly be missed by millions xoxox.

Today is my first day of offically blogging. I have never really honestly blogged before but I'm excited to actually do this for real and see what comes out of it. My intention for this blog is to talk about things that interest me and how i feel about things in my life. I plan to do reviews of stuff that effect me in different ways and, talk about my trials and tribulations with trying to get ready for university next year; since I am in Gr.12. I am excited to express myself and be as open and honest as I want. I'm ready for the challenge of complete and total crerativty in the form of this blog.
